Staff Designer
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of industrial design experience in the field. This position will utilize outstanding sketching and computer communication skills as well as the desire to work on a wide range of products in a creative and multi-disciplinary collaborative studio.

Senior Industrial Designer
The ideal candidate will have a minimum B.S. Degree, or equivalent, in Industrial Design, or closely related field. The position will be responsible for the industrial design of a variety of consumer electronics, footwear, and furniture. Specific tasks include project management, customer relations, consumer research, competitive marketplace analysis, industrial design, refinement, and documentation of designs. Develop the design using hand sketching, Rhinoceros software program and 2D/3D CAD (computer-aided drafting). Confer with engineering, marketing, and production, and/or sales departments, or with customers, to establish and evaluate design concepts for manufactured products. Coordinate the look and function of product lines. Design graphic material for use as ornamentation, illustration, or advertising on manufactured materials and packaging or containers. Direct and coordinate the fabrication of models or samples and the drafting of working drawings and specification sheets from sketches. Modify and refine designs, using working models, to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends. Prepare sketches of ideas, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork, and/or blueprints, using drafting instruments, paints and brushes, or computer-aided design equipment. Present designs and reports to customers or design committees for approval, and discuss need for modification. Read publications, attend showings, and study competing products and design styles and motifs to obtain perspective and generate design concepts. Advise corporations on issues involving corporate image projects or problems. Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as appearance, safety, function, serviceability, budget, production costs/methods, and market characteristics. Participate in project design reviews, giving creative feedback to other team members. Special requirements: Demonstrated ability to develop uniform brand across product lines. Demonstrated ability to advise and present designs to customers. Knowledge of Rhinoceros program and 2D/3D CAD (computer-aided drafting) .
